Licensed Paralegals:

In Ontario, a Licensed Paralegal is an individual who possesses a P1 License and is allowed to provide legal services in specific areas of law to the public, corporations, institutions and small businesses. Some of these areas are Small Claims Court, Provincial Offences/Regulatory Offences, Human Rights Tribunal, Landlord and Tenant Board, and all other Administrative Tribunals in Ontario. Paralegals are professional members of the Law Society of Upper Canada and as such are governed by the Professional Rules of Conduct set out by this regulatory, legislative and governing body.
